Henry I & Grace T Akiyama Scholarship
The Henri I & Grace T Akiyama Alaska Youth Choir Scholarship was established as a living memorial to Grace Akiyama. Mrs. Akiyama had a strong interest in Alaska’s youth and their appreciation of and development in the musical arts. Full and partial tuition scholarships are available to AYC members, based on financial need and upon recommendation of the AYC Music Director. The Trustees of the Scholarship Fund make the final decision and distribute the awards.
